Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that the 60-90 minutes you spent with me on the phone a month or so ago was not in vain. I have taken your advice and become a subscriber to homepower magazine and I’ve been reading up on all kinds of renewable energy options. It took me quite some time to push through all the technical lingo (not an electrician or engineer, not me!) and, unlike you, since I got my bachelor’s degree many years ago I have not been in the habit of self-educating myself, so there was a learning curve to be surmounted. But, I feel that I’m making progress now and learning some useful information. I think that I will take the rest of the week to continue working through the on-line articles and then call a few folks who are in the industry to ask ‘educated’ questions. I’m the type that finds it difficult to retain information like this unless I can use it in a specific application or at least talk it over with others. Too bad I didn’t get started with this a few months earlier when the summer events were still in swing. That would have been ideal. Just wanted to give you an update say ‘hello’. I’ll be in Springfield to visit the in-laws over Thanksgiving. Should you be at home and find that you have time to meet a newbie to the RE world, just let me know. I’d love to meet you both.
